On July 18, BE Fest kicks off in Toronto, ON. After two years of screenings in bars and cinemas across the city, Bleeding Edge will be holding two nights of cutting edge independent cinema at Paradise Theatre, along with a night of music at Houndstooth.

July 18:
Performances from hometown punks Only God Forgives at Houndstooth, followed by New York indie rocker Matthew Danger Lippman.
Bleeding Edge has previously screened the music video for Only God Forgives’ “Green Sand” as well as frontwoman Shelby Wilson’s film We Need to Talk About Diseases. Lippman previously directed the short film Ain’t No Cure for Love: America, which screened at our first event in 2022.

Berman’s March
The sophomore feature from Jordan Tetewsky and Joshua Pikovsky, whose film Hannah Ha Ha won the Grand Jury Prize at Slamdance Film Festival in 2022. In Berman’s March, the filmmakers turn the humanist eyes toward an underachiever who goes on a road trip to meet up with his high school friends for a weekend in the woods. Starring Charlie Robinson as the titular character.

The Pee Pee Poo Poo Man
Braden Sitter Sr.'s cinematic opus, described by the director as "like The French Connection but with pee and poo" is a guaranteed Toronto underground classic. Inspired by the infamous true story of Toronto's pee pee poo poo attacker, The Pee Pee Poo Poo Man co-stars Spencer Rice (Kenny vs. Spenny), Paul Bellini (Kids in the Hall) and a host of familiar faces from Bleeding Edge screenings past and present.
