Canadian Premiere of TORONTO APARTMENT at Paradise Theatre on July 15
Bleeding Edge Presents the Canadian premiere of Tristan Wheeler's homegrown, DIY comedy!
On July 15, Bleeding Edge invites you to join us at Paradise Theatre for the Canadian premiere of Toronto Apartment, the laugh-a-minute DIY comedy from local writer/director/editor Tristan Wheeler. Tickets available HERE!
Bleeding Edge previously played Wheeler’s short films Poet Laureate and I’m Sorry Cody, and we are excited to also bring you his feature debut! Toronto Apartment was made for $10,000 with the assistance of many people within the Bleeding Edge community. Lock, a recently dumped layabout, rents out his apartment for an hour or two at at a time as a “community space” in order to pay the bills, which triggers a dangerous series of events for both Lock and the city of Toronto. It had it’s world premiere last month at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival, where rural California audiences learned about the cost of housing in Toronto and our uniquely Canadian affordability crisis. Wheeler, along with many of his collaborators, will be in attendance for a Q&A at the screening.
